Call for applications: Media Entrepreneurship Training for Women Journalists – Maldives/ Sri Lanka

If the answer is yes, then send us a short bio together with a statement of interest explaining why you are keen to be part of this exclusive one-day virtual training for women who dream big.

Two trainings focusing on women journalists from Sri Lanka and the Maldives will be conducted by Jacqui Park, journalist, editor and media strategist. She currently serves as Head- Network Strategy and Innovation, International Press Institute (IPI).

Trainings will be conducted on March 5 (Maldives) and March 6 (Sri Lanka) via Zoom.

South Asian Women in Media (SAWM) is a network of women media professionals in South Asia. SAWM works for freedom of press, increased participation of women in the media, a gender-sensitive work environment and a gender-equal outlook in the media. Launched in April 2008, SAWM’s central secretariat is in Lahore, Pakistan and the association has country chapters in eight members of SAARC. SAWM helps women working in media to network across borders, and with international rights organizations, to assert their rights and defend their interests.
