I am basically from pune and working in media field since 2015. I completed my B.A. in Marathi literature in 2015 from Ruia collage Mumbai and did masters from Sathaye collage in journalism and mass communication. I worked with Maharshtra 1 news channel for a year as a reporter - anchor. I completed a fellowship of The Blue Ribbon movement in 2016 -17 which was for women empowerment and gender equality. I did some freelance stories in 2017, one I would like to mention here - ' भय इथले संपत नाही' a report on violence in prisons after Manjula shetye's murder in Buyculla prison. Currently I am working as a court reporter in Sakal news paper in Pune, which is one of the well known Marathi news paper. I look after all sessions court criminal cases, family court, NGT, Consumer court etc. My core area of interest is to write and study about gender issues along with caste, class and religion perspective.
Some of My stories I would like to mention here
1. I did a story, that there are no feeding rooms in session's court of Pune, so many women face challenges to feed their children in court premises.
2. I wrote about how female sex workers celebrate Ganesh Festival. This year some female sex workers of Budhwar peth (A big red light area of Pune) collected money and helped a poor def and mute girl with a hearing aid machine instead of wasting so much money for Ganesh festival.
3. Recently I did a story about a tribal social activist who socially boycotted in Dandiya of Navratri, because she raised up her voice to eradicate a Virginity test tradition of Kanjarbhat tribe which she belongs too.
